Portable data is the essence of ISO 8000 the international standard for quality data. We are working on a simplified version of the standard so that data can only be labeled as ISO 8000 compliant when it is truly portable. Saying it is does not make it so, the standard provides a practical method pf testing data to see if it is portable.
