I am passionate about the focus on data above all. Just as the application-centric world has benefitted from naming the problem of 'technical debt', we need to name the problem of 'data debt', which has much wider and longer-lasting impact. Then we need to start paying down our data debt and making architectural decisions that let us avoid incurring further debt.
